Aí está um dos grandes problemas para que o jornalismo esteja sempre em sintonia com o senso comum, as hipocrisias politiqueiras e aos factóides. Não se pode esquecer que a lingüística é importantíssima para o curso de Comunicação.
Estou trazendo esse assunto à tona, depois de uma conversa, ontem, no almoço com o vice-governador Washington Oliveira, o deputado Chiquinho Escórcio e jornalistas. O jornalista Luiz Cardoso levantou o seguinte questionamento: “Já foram aplicados todos os recursos da obra de recuperação do hospital do IPEM e só estão prontos 30% da reforma”. Quem disse isso? Perguntei eu e o jornalista Décio Sá. Cardoso disse ter sido uma fonte. Ora bolas!!! Aí entra a importância do signo x significado no jornalismo. Para que Cardoso tivesse em mente esse significado, ele teria que comparar com o signo, visto que não se trata de algo abstrato. O certo é que toda recuperação do IPEM proposto nos espaços pela Secretaria de Saúde do Estado estão finalizadas.
Mas vamos ao que interessa. O signo é uma construção viva por ser cheia de conflitos e mal-entendidos. O jogo entre significante e significado é múltiplo, ambíguo, subjetivo – marcado pela fantasia e pela criatividade e possui grande liberdade de manipulação, assim, nem significante, nem significado são coisas fixas, permanentes, imutáveis. Ambos são arbitrários e transformam-se o tempo todo.
A semiótica dividiu o processo de significação em dois momentos. Há o denotativo, sentido explícito, ou ainda, sentido óbvio, objetivo e análogo (existente). Também há o conotativo, sentido implícito, subjetivo ou obtuso (abstrato).
Tomando um enunciado como exemplo de análise: minha namorada é uma gata. O suporte sonoro/visual (a palavra gata) é o significante. As duas interpretações possíveis: animal ou beleza são os significados. O termo polissêmico é um signo constituído de um significante, mas de diversos significados.
O Jornalismo é um fato da língua, assim devemos fazê-lo para que o jornalismo exerça seu papel – função – principal que é o de organizar discursivamente dentro do que é verídico e do que é falso.
Em que tese exerce essa função organizadora: A função testemunhal: confirmação: visual, vigilância, desenho do espaço social e hierarquização. Testemunho do testemunho: por causa de um sentido de referencialidade / ilusão eferencial; efeito do real credibilidade do real.
Um jornalista, assim como um inspetor de política, um auditor etc. não pode tecer comentário sobre aquilo que não viu, abstendo-se apenas em construções de pensamento da realidade sem interpretar a da legitimidade.
Para o jornalismo esta referência signo x significado é de importância para a credibilidade de seu testemunho verdadeiro, desta forma passa a ser argumento pró-consenso.
Portanto, para que uma matéria seja feita dentro dos parâmetros reais, o repórter tem quer ver “in loco” as veracidades dos fatos e, assim, tecer seu significado dentro da linha editorial que seu meio de comunicação está inserido, ou mesmo na parcialidade. Quanto às informações colhidas com o signo apenas abstrato, o jornalista terá que fluir significados que possam traçar as veracidades das informações.
Enfim de que seja possível verificar a importância que têm o signo e suas emanações no estudo e na compreensão da linguagem como elemento implementador das aspirações lingüísticas e sócio-psico-ideológicas do homem. Não se pode esquecer que o significante é a apresentação física do signo.

Belo texto para reflexão. Só não entendi porque vc usou o termo ABSTRATO como equivalente à OBTUSO. Os sentidos conotativos de “obtuso” estão mais ligados à falta de nitidez, rombudo, arredondado , etc

Obtuso é usado mais na matemática, mas vale como exemplo no contexto, pois é o mesmo que compreende lentamente; rude, estúpido: espírito obtuso.
Abstrato no sentido de não se prender à representação da realidade tangível.
De toda forma quero agradecer por sua explicação. Francisco, ela também se enquadra dentro daquilo que é importante para a necessidade do signo x significado para o jornalismo.
