O risco de colapso total da ligação Sul-Norte do País, especificamente na BR-010, em virtude de grandes empreendimentos na Região Tocantina, será alvo de audiência pública na Câmara dos Deputados. O pedido de audiência conjunta entre as comissões de Desenvolvimento Urbano e de Viação e Transporte da Casa foi feito nesta quinta-feira (07) pelo deputado federal Chiquinho Escórcio (PMDB-MA) com vistas à instalação de grandes projetos de desenvolvimento econômico na região – Suzano Celulose, Aciaria de Açailândia, Hidrelétrica de Estreito, Shopping Imperial de Imperatriz.
Segundo o deputado, há risco iminente de que se agrave o constante estrangulamento do tráfego na rodovia BR-010 com o conglomerado de grandes obras principalmente no trecho de Imperatriz, com reflexos significativos nos municípios de João Lisboa, Açailândia e adjacências. “Atualmente, a comunidade desses municípios convive com uma situação extremamente caótica. Não existe, na BR-010, sinalização adequada informando aos motoristas do risco que ali se encontra, nem mesmo a menor perspectiva de um projeto de adequação, provocando enormes congestionamentos”, explicou Chiquinho.
A discussão na Câmara dos Deputados vai provocar, segundo o deputado, um movimento por melhor infraestrutura urbana, adaptação e/ou readaptação dos municípios envolvidos na construção dos grandes empreendimentos. Além disso, Chiquinho ressalta que as obras vão acarretar um fluxo ainda maior de veículos pesados, o que pode provocar deterioração do asfalto, aumento nos índices de poluição e riscos de graves acidentes. “Teremos um trânsito intenso de caminhões pesados, que circulam muitas vezes em condições precárias, fomentando um caos no perímetro urbano desses municípios, com a possibilidade de parar o sistema rodoviário tanto para o atendimento específico das cidades como da ligação entre o Sul e o Norte do País caso não sejam tomadas providências imediatas”, completou.
Para a audiência pública nas duas comissões, o deputado Chiquinho Escórcio propõe a oitiva de autoridades e empresas envolvidas na questão, para que tragam à Câmara dos Deputados esclarecimentos e sugestões que possibilitem evitar o colapso na BR-010. Serão convocados prefeitos e presidentes das Câmaras de Vereadores dos municípios de Imperatriz, Açailândia e João Lisboa; representantes dos governos do Pará e Tocantins – já que a região tocantina faz fronteira com os estados vizinhos ao Maranhão, e suas respectivas bancadas de deputados federais e estaduais; representantes do DNIT e da Polícia Federal, além de representantes das empresas Franere Construtora, Gusa do Nordeste, Suzano Celulose e do Consórcio Hidrelétrico Estreito.
