A Secretaria Municipal de Trânsito e Transportes (SMTT) iniciou o programa de sinalização das principais ruas e avenidas da cidade. A ação está inserida no Plano Macro de Revitalização, que inclui a sinalização horizontal, vertical e semafórica, proporcionando à população da capital maior segurança na utilização das vias públicas. A equipe de engenharia e sinalização da SMTT iniciou, na madrugada de terça-feira (06), a pré-marcação e pintura do trecho compreendido entre a rotatória do Caolho e a Cohama, na Avenida Daniel deLa Touche. Tambémserão sinalizadas avenidas e ruas dos bairros, a exemplo da Avenida da Paz, no Parque Shalom e Rua 04. Com o objetivo de gerar mais organização, fluidez e segurança no trânsito, serão implantadas placas indicativas, de disciplinamento, de estacionamento e de regulamentação de trânsito, além da sinalização horizontal composta de faixas de travessia de pedestres, faixas de bordo e de divisórias de fluxo de tráfego. Em determinados pontos, a sinalização semafórica será reestruturada com a implantação de retorno de quadra. Com essa ação, a SMTT visa proporcionar a motoristas e pedestres melhor trafegabilidade com agilidade, evitando acidentes de trânsito e garantindo à população maior segurança nos seus deslocamentos.

Uma grande festa da juventude ribamarense, marcada por muita alegria e uma diversidade de homenagens às datas comemorativas do calendário nacional. Assim transcorreu o Desfile Estudantil 2011 de São José de Ribamar, realizado pela administração do prefeito Gil Cutrim (PMDB) na manhã desta terça-feira. A área do santuário religioso, localizada na Sede do município, foi o ponto de apresentação dos estudantes que, após percorrerem a Avenida Gonçalves Dias, mostraram muita coordenação na execução de coreografias em frente à concha acústica. Ressaltando as datas importantes de cada mês, mais de mil alunos, de escolas públicas municipais e estaduais, além da rede privada, destacaram o período carnavalesco, o Dia da Mulher, a temporada junina, o Dia da Bandeira, o Dia do Estudante, o Dia do Trabalho, o Dia da Consciência Negra, o Natal, Dia do Índio e a Independência do Brasil, por exemplo. Cada data foi lembrada com a apresentação de elementos emblemáticos. Assim, o trabalho foi retratado por meio de várias profissões. O Carnaval foi retratado com seus tradicionais fofões. Já o São João esteve presente por meio dos personagens do Bumba-Boi.
