País deve ganhar seis mil creches e escolas de educação infantil até 2014
Prefeituras de todo o País têm, até 2014, para construir seis mil creches e escolas públicas de educação infantil previstas no Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC-2). Esse conjunto de escolas vai criar 1,2 milhão de vagas. Ser proprietária e ter o título de domínio do terreno no qual a escola será construída são garantias que a prefeitura deve apresentar ao Ministério da Educação (MEC) para receber recursos do Programa Nacional de Reestruturação e Aquisição de Equipamentos da Rede Escolar Pública de Educação Infantil (Proinfância).
As seis mil escolas previstas no PAC-2 estão distribuídas entre as cinco regiões do País, mas têm prioridade as áreas metropolitanas do Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Rio Grande do Sul, de grande concentração populacional.
De acordo com dados da Secretaria de Educação Básica (SEB), desde que foi criado, em 2007, o Proinfância já financiou a construção de 2,3 mil escolas de educação infantil — a estimativa é que cerca de 300 estejam concluídas. As prefeituras que terminam as construções recebem, mediante convênio com o Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), R$ 100 mil para aquisição de mobiliário e equipamentos destinados às escolas e creches.
Senhores prefeitos, o pilar para uma boa formação do aluno está no ensino infantil, principalmente na alfabetização, que é a base para que o aluno vá para o ensino fundamental, médio, técnico e superior sem dificuldade de interpretação de um simples enunciado de uma questão aplicada numa prova escolar e de concursos. Portanto, senhores prefeitos, não percam essa oportunidade e invistam nesse período primordial para o bom andamento educacional dos cidadãos de seus municípios.
